Lake Park Steakhouse - Carolina Beach

Marci was a great server as well as other team members who brought our food , water, etc. One of the owners stopped by to chat even though restaurant was packed.Our filets were perfectly prepared and this restaurant will probably become our close-to-home choice when we want a great steak. Prices reasonable compared to other restaurants featuring steaks. Personalized salad was a special treat. Noise level high due to size of dining room but people just enjoying a tasty dinner with friends....no rowdy behavior present. Parking is usual challenge although we learned that Kate's Pancakes allows parking in their lot at night when they are not open. Lake Park Steakhouse is highly recommended by the Smith's.

Great steak! Limited seating, definitely make a reservation. The soups, sides and appetizers were fantastic also. Great service. Will definitely eat here again.

Beware! Do not share or taste food off of your guests plates, you will be charged without notice. Received bill only to see a charge that read empty plate??? Went in with my 1 year old and 5 year old and shared some of the steak that I had ordered off of my plate…..I asked about this charge and they said “when we see people eating off of each others plate there is a charge.” This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. This isn’t a buffet, I am paying for what I order not for an “empty plate” No where is this posted. Be careful when ordering waitress does not tell you market price of lobster tail ahead of time ordered only three entrées total and bill was a total of $271. Lobster tails are separate, each one costs $50, the menu makes it seem like it’s included, so just be mindful of that. Also if you pay with cash you get a 3% discount? Why? This sounds sketchy, I mean card fees can’t be the issue here with the insane price gouging going on. Waitresses are not friendly, not sure if it was because it was 8pm and they were tired or what. The food was lacking flavor. Mashed potatoes were bland and steak was hard. I know the owner will read this and have some kind of sarcastic feedback just like it’s been with the rest of the bad reviews.

We took my parents there for a 70th anniversary dinner and the staff at Lake Park Steak House made extra effort to make it special. It is a small place with an intimate atmosphere, not particularly good for large parties (we had 6 which was fine). The food was as good as you will find in the best well known steakhouses. The salad menu is unique and personalized for each diner. The meats were awesome. The entire staff signed cards for my parents which they delivered with desserts. Reservations are required. The owner is on site and paying attention to details. Highly highly recommend this restaurant.

For my 60th birthday I wanted to celebrate at the finest restaurant in Carolina Beach, and was not disappointed with Lake Park Steakhouse. My wife’s ribeye was absolutely perfectly cooked and delicious; my prime rib was savory and very flavorful. The create your own salad was spot on, and the cocktails were tasty. I love a blue cheese olive with my martini, thank you. There is no better dining experience in Carolina Beach. The thing that caught my attention here the most was the staff. Their happy and delightful demeanor created a nice environment , and they were working collaboratively with serving all the tables in the restaurant. They were working hard- but smiling, talking, and joking with each other the customers. We had Amy, and she was awesome. When my wife made the reservation she told them it was my 60th BD, and they gave me the nicest card signed by all. Thank you for a truly memorable dining experience.
