Nate's Bar & Bistro - Carindale

In the middle of the week, in the afternoon, for a drink and a snack. has the feeling of a soulless coffee shop. lots of space, clean. the large dessert cabinet seemed out of place. I would go to the coffee club if I wanted to. no sign of the bar .part to begin and we had to ask if she served alcohol. then there is no cocktail menu despite the friendly server that makes us a cocktail. at the end we had beautiful mojitos. the sliders we ordered were beautiful. absolutely delicious veggie burger. yum. great location that goes on the stones corner, but empty. strange it seemed to close the early evening, which makes no sense for a place that tries to be a bar. given the busted bar only two doors down, seems like lost potential. would go back there, hoping for more action in the opposite.

The staff were wonderful and the location was beautiful. The opening times felt more like a café rather than a bar and bistro, and the food was decent but not impressive enough to make me want to return.

The food, atmosphere and service was fantastic! The ambience of the restaurant was great, and the staff friendly and helpful, without hovering every few minutes. We went for lunch, but can't wait to go back for dinner. A great mid-week lunch spot.

We went to Nate's for a dinner with family. We were blown away by the quality of the food and were not surprised when told that everything had been handmade by the chef (nothing frozen or bought in from elsewhere). The atmosphere had a lovely...vibe and despite being very busy, you never felt crowded or neglected. The staff were always helpful and there when you needed them, but didn't hover or give any over service. Although no reason to dine here, we were impressed with the elegance and spaciousness in the restrooms. They also provided a disabled bathroom, complete with a change table, which is hard to find in a lot of restaurants these days. I would highly recommend for lunch or dinner only disappointed we don't live nearby to visit regularly.

We visited Nate's on a Living Social Voucher for shared plates and have to confess we had fairly low expectations Wow were we wrong! Firstly, the staff were wonderful our waitress couldn't have been more pleasant, or more concerned that we were...enjoying ourselves. The secret ingredient in every dish is the love and enthusiasm of the chef. The dips we had as starters with bread, although the standard offering of capsicum, chick pea and eggplant were absolutely wonderful, with the eggplant and capsicum getting my vote for the best I have ever had of either. Each component of the entrée of chicken wings, beetroot carpaccio and mango salad, was worthy of our undivided attention. The main plate of Pork Belly (crisp, juicy and wonderfully tasty), Beef Cheek (the knife just fell through it) and Prosciutto wrapped perfectly crunchy asparagus was all wonderful. I sat back replete, thinking nothing could top this, but then came desert! White chocolate parfait was very nice, but the chocolate pannacotto was to die for the perfect end to an absolutely wonderful meal.
