Villa Chiara - CANELLI

A quiet evening in Canelli. And then you find this place to eat. This restaurant is different in many ways. Not a piemontese cuisine, but a genovese one which means the chef prepares the meals from their heritage : fish as an appetizer, primi is a day's sepcial with risotto and squid, as main dish the catch of the day : sea bass. And here it comes : because we were undecided to go for the fish bianca or genevose style, the chef proposed to prepare half half. What a delight it was : one fish, two tastings. Before we forget to desbribe the family vibe : the dad was reviewing the 9 year old son's homework at the end of the service, in the very same way as we had experienced our meal : with care, with a smile and with diligence. Great place to come back.

We had a great meal, cooked by the charming Chiara. Everything is fresh, tasteful and original. You can eat outside or inside in a charming restaurant in the center of Canelli.

Well-kept, elegant, comfortable and quiet rooms, in the center of a wonderful city. Hospitality, kindness and helpfulness of the staff complete the picture. Highly recommended, even for just one night..
