Bidrage med feedbackSo British, so unexpected and out of the touristical pathes, this pub is so simple that it's sublime. Other beers than the commercial ones, real British Sunday Roast and comfortable atmosphere not to believe you are in London !
Really good pub usually pop in on a Friday after work. They have a huge selection of ales which change regularly so you can always get something new and they are part of CAMRA scheme which is good. The draft ales are very reasonably priced and one of the most reasonably priced in the area. Also Nelson the cat is always hanging out by the door waiting for people to pet him. All and all a brilliant pub and worth a visit
A young pub in an old building with wonderful kitchen one of few pubs in london I strongly recommend to visitors looking for a proper lunch. Often busy but have reliable bar staff. It feels well established already after only a few years of new management operation.
Went to sample the vegan and other pies. All sold out by 6pm! A great selection of delicious beer. Plenty of space inside and out. Great reggae playlist. The staff were all unfriendly said literally nothing after ordering drink no smiles, pleasantries , thank yous nothing. Some might say surly. We had burgers: one veggie one meat. Both excellent. So overall I left happy, but slightly puzzled why the staff don’t lighten up a lot and this place would be 5 stars.
A very good Sunday Roast, the pork was tasty, nice hard crackling, and the roast beef was served rare as requested. Largish sized portions. On Thursday evenings a group of locals play music guitars, and other instruments. Plenty of atmosphere in this old fashioned award winning pub. A must visit if you're into craft beer, with several different kegs on from around the UK (and regularly change). They also have a selection of home made pies, which have the pastry all the way around, not just on top. I've had the beef, and chicken and both were delicious. They also do vegetarian pies. Well worth a visit.
