Las Barcas - Calp

Good location, but very sleepy waiters. Maybe a new place next time…..… food was not more then ok, warm beer. I think a little smile and a bit better service will be in order

The port area was crowded and the restaurant was very busy and under staffed when we called in for lunch. We ordered 4 tapas but only 2 ever arrived. The garlic prawns were large and tasted good. Because the prawns were so good we went back another time . The prawns were still good, but the staff made no effort to make us feel welcome.

It was very quiet in Calpe with few tourist about, so we had to run the gauntlet of all the seafood restaurant waiters trying to get customers for their €15 menu del dia. At the end of the road by the beach is this large restaurant with red signage. We ordered a battered squid ring bocadillo, patatas braves and Russian salad. The food came out very quickly. The squid rings and patatas were not hot enough. If we were to offer a recommendation it would be to have a bottle of house rose and share a Russian salad and enjoy the view of this lovely beach.

La paella de marisco buenísima, la ensaladilla super rica, los únicos detalles es que la ración de gambas al ajillo eran muy pocas (5 gambas).

Excelente restaurante con bonitas vistas y personal muy atento y amable , producto de muy buena calidad , arroces estupendos y pescado fresco , muy recommendable
