La Montaneta - Calp

The Montaneta has great front line sea views, a relaxing atmosphere and their prices are reasonable. A light meal with drinks cost €13.50. The friendly and helpful staff also gave me a warm welcome. I recommend.

Ate here late one sunny afternoon, chilled relaxed atmosphere. Ate from the €9.90 euro three course menu, shared a mixed paella, was yummy! Drinks extra but very reasonable wine €1.90 a glass. We just went for a drink on another day, lovely outlook over beach. Would recommend

I've been eating here for at least ten years and have always enjoyed our visits in fact we make a point of visiting every year! It's a pretty basic Spanish restaurant set by the beach but you will be warmly welcomed. The menu has all the standard fare with a very reasonable menu del dia for €9.90 which is three courses with bread allioli but no drinks. I've eaten pretty much everything here from the yard long pizza (a good lunch sharing plate) to their paella mixta which was perfection (and I've had a lot of paella over the years). Their sardinas and lenguado are also highly recommended. Their wine is very reasonably priced at €7.50 for a bottle of house white and it's extremely drinkable. Service is attentive but not intrusive nor rushed. They are quite happy if you just want to have a drink, or sit around and chat after your meal. Our young son was kept entertained and they were happy to provide a plate so he could help himself to bits from everyone else's plate. They didn't even object when I laid out a beach chair so he could have a lie down! Undoubtedly we will keep going back every time we return to calpe.

Buena ubicación en la playa de Calpe. Buen servicio, buen trato y la comida riquisima. Siempre q vamos a Calpe, hacemos una parada allí.
