H & K Restaurant & Alleycat - Brooks

One of our favorite places for Chines food. We usually order take out - and the wait is well worth it. Food is fresh - portions are large.

We ordered delivery. Was a bit shocked at the the price, but once the food arrived we realized the portions were very large so that explained it. Don't eat this type of food much any more, but this may be the best in town?

In town and was looking for a good place to eat. Couple of local freinds told us to try the H and K and I was presently suprised. It is a little out of the way, being downtown, but easily excessible. My wife and I had Chinese food and my daughter Chicken Nuggets, but it was some of the best Chinese food I have had in a long time. Not greasy at all. Even though we had take out, the business owners seemed like good people and the restraunt was decently clean.

Fresh food, always delicious. My favorite is the Singapore noodles and homemade dumplings. Ginger beef is fantastic as well (I always order a little spicy.) Also the salt and pepper shrimp are very lightly coated and delic. However the restaurant itself is dingy and falling apart. The bathroom smells like backed up sewer and the whole place is rather disgusting. The owners are fantastic. Great for take-out, however eating in may not to be most people's liking

Very good food for the price. Sort of a diamond in the rough. Clean, but old. Consistently delicious and fairly quick.
