The vegan cupcakes here are beautiful, though quite sweet. I particularly enjoy the passion fruit, lemon, and celestial flavors, while I find the strawberry one a bit overly sugary. Lola Bakery’s website also offers the option to order full cakes, including a few vegan choices that you can pick up in-store. I tried three different cakes, and they were all delicious. The carrot cake features a fantastic frosting and has a wonderful spicy flavor. The hazelnut and pear cake is excellent too, but my favorite was the apple cake – served warm with a scoop of oat ice cream, it was simply divine! This is the best option for someone like me who finds many traditional cakes too sugary.
