Junk Bar - Brisbane

I love so many things about Junk Bar - the ambience, the eclectic glasses and drinks, the comfortable 'lounge room' style decor... I often meet up with other mums here for an hour or two on the weekend, as it's unpretentious and always relaxing.

I enjoy going to this bar, it is Intimate and you can have a good chat without being drowned out by the music. The Cocktail are full strength, Try the Junk Island Iced Tea if your game

It's been a long time, but the **** Mary I had here was pretty much the best drink I've hAd in my entire life!!! Yum! If only I didn't so far away!

Junk Bar can be easily missed, and even when you do find it and walk in you'd wonder how Ashgrove ended up with such a great little bar considering you'd really only expect to see a bar with this much character closer to the CBD or Valley.With a menu full of delicious hot & cold cocktails, it's definitely the main drawcard each time I return here. The wine selection is good too however, the staff have always been friendly and there are many comfy couches to choose from (if it's not too busy, which does happen!). There is also a very cosy little music venue in a seperate room to the main bar where I've now seen several intimate and very enjoyable performances. I'd highly recommend Junk Bar as a place to catch up with an old friend over a new tasty cocktail or wine, you won't be disappointed!

We came to have a drink before dinner at another restaurant and you would have to know the place is there as you could easily walk past it. i thought i was going into a chinese takeaway place ( no offensive to chinese takeaways ) we opened the door and were amazed by the decor - wow. just loved it. i felt like i was in some hollywood movie in the 50's. service was great, friendly staff. i had a cocktail and loved the pewter cocktail goblet. it was unusual and kept the drink cold. - the cocktail was great also. have a look at all the decor - some really interesting stuff and also unusual. there is another room which makes you feel like you are in a log cabin. will tell everyone about this place - pity it wasnt in my neighbourhood.
