Jackpot Dining - Brisbane

Very nice staff and clean restaurantHowever, unfortunately our experience here was awful.

My partner and I have been here a couple of times recently, it's definitely our go-to cheap diner.

I've been here a few timesThe serving portions are rather large for the priceI like that it is licensed and BYO (corkage).

Visted to see what their laksa was like almost a year ago and now come here at least once every 2 weeks. Lineup can take a while and tables can be very busy but it's worth the wait. All dishes are very good value.

I have literally just left the restaurant and had to leave a review for how poor my experience was. My partner and I had order 2 dishes and special fried rice. The rice came out first and it was cold, after ten minutes our dishes still hadn't arrived so my partner had asked the waitress direct quote "do you know how much longer for the rest of our order because we were wanting to eat it with the rice except now the rice is cold" the waitress shrugged and didn't even apologise. Her response was "what do you want me to do about it, there are two tables ahead of you waiting for food". At this point I thought what an unprofessional way to address a customer, so I said "we don't mind waiting, but we would of preferred that our whole order came out together, and would you mind taking it back with you to keep warm til the food is ready?" So she picked up the rice and literally stormed off. We could see her going back to the kitchen and yelling in Chinese. When she returned with our order, she didn't even make eye contact, she pretty aggressively put the plates on the table and continued to walk off. Every time she walked past us she gave us eye rolls. It was really intimidating and off putting to eat so we just left. - also the food wasn't great. Advice to jackpot management: saying sorry isn't difficult and that's all it would of taken to keep us happy, but instead we were made to feel like we were the reason we had to wait. Maybe order take away so all your food is given at once? Or try a different restaurant all together!
