Greaser - Brisbane

The bar seemed shady, but it is likely popular with university students. The happy hour specials were disappointing, especially the burger which was poorly assembled with thick pickles. The southern fried chicken was nothing special. I ordered two chicken legs and received none. The service was friendly, but that didn't make up for the unpleasant atmosphere - the place smelled bad and there was a cockroach on my table that I had to shoo away. The tables were sticky.

I was in the last few years in greaser and really love this place. the first couple of times I was through the combination of wonderful foods, good drinks, great music and nostalgia for the underground bar scene in new york, this place felt like home and I rated them a 5. some of the best burgers and the second best meal I had eaten in brisbane, were served in greaser but sometimes I would experience a submerged, but I would experience it. sub par, if they expect that a 5, does not mean bad, but after a few of these experiences I have my assessment and downgraded greaser from 5 to 4.5 I was in the last two in greaser and have come to accept the reality...read more

I visited this trendy restaurant a few weeks ago but didn't get the chance to eat, so I returned to try the food. While my dining partner was eager to take on the burger challenge, I opted for the chicken burger after much deliberation. The buttermilk fried chicken came with tomato, salad, avocado, and chipotle sauce on a brioche bun. I had high expectations as I had heard great things about the restaurant and its burgers. So, met with a few critics tonight for a nice dinner....ok we had Burger...ok so we entered a burger eating contest. when they now contest the cake burger eating contest they automatically think massive portion, but unfortunately it wasn't that, the burger was really small, but actually really delicious, the patties were not dry, nice amount cheese, but needed more chili, it didn't find until I reached the bottom of the burger. not a fan of chips, they were not properly cooked, but the funny thing is a lot of time to make a fresh batch before our meal served. love the location of this place, really underground and american- would I go...read more

A hidden bar in fortitude valley that's known for its burgers as much as it's known for its drinks. The burger special was oh so good although maybe candied bacon instead of fried?
