Brooklyn Depot - Brisbane

This place was pretty good! I ordered a depot burger and some garbage friesThe fries came out first, by a long while.

I had five wings - southern fried style for $10They came in a basket with some orange slightly spicy and tangy sauce.

We went here hoping for authentic American cuisine.

I went for a Sunday lunch alone, and I ended up seated at the bar. The interior of the place is well decorated, and it's pretty large, though it was still full at around 2pm, and overall, a noisy atmosphere. I had the "On The Lam" burger with a side of chips, and a bottle of "Dos Equis", which the bar staff recommended as a close substitute to a certain brand of Mexican beer ;D I love my lamb burgers, though perhaps not as passionately as Sam Kekovich. The lamb burger here was pretty good - the lamb was nice and tender, and went really well with the tzatziki. Bun looked average, but was pretty soft and light against the meat. It went well with the beer. Chips were pretty ordinary shoestring fries. Excellent service.

Mac N Cheese balls - they were overly doughy/breast and pasta was over cooked. They didn't really taste like cheese at all, they tasted very watery. Buffalo wings - too much breading on the wings and they were greasy and lacking in flavour. Sauce didn't really compliment the wings. Burger - was ok but not worth the price paid. Considering the number of excellent burger joints in Brisbane with burger around $13, the $18.50 we paid for this burger it should have been a lot better than it was. Overall a very disappointing experience when it looked like such a delicious and interesting menu.
