Bidrage med feedbackThis pub is closed and no longer serving beer. It was a place for rowdy drinkers to indulge in domestic violence. It's a relief that it's gone. Hopefully the Dean Brothers will take over at midnight.
This is exactly what I received. There was no loud music or unruly children. The pub menu was simple, so I wasn't expecting anything fancy. The service was friendly and quick without any hassle. The restaurant is clean and organized. I loved it.
I went for lunch at this restaurant and found that the menu was very limited and cheap, with no vegetarian options available. When I asked for a salad with chips, I received a strange look, indicating that they don't often cater to vegetarians. Despite the high price of $7 for chips and salad, I decided to order it. The salad was disappointing, with dried up coleslaw mix, cabbage, shredded carrot, and beetroot straight from a packet. It was so dry that I couldn't even pick it up with a fork, and there was no lettuce in sight, so I ended up just eating the chips. The tablecloths looked like they hadn't been washed or changed in years, and one of the bar staff wiped a table down with a cloth that turned black from the dirt. The atmosphere was drab, with old and dirty decor including a filthy couch, frayed red chairs, and sparkly material hanging over the windows. The locals were unwelcoming, giving suspicious looks to anyone who entered. Overall, the restaurant seemed in need of major renovation or even closure. It's a shame that this place used to be great, but I would never return.
The Coronation Hotel has been an institution in Ipswich for years. The Family owned pub has now added a restaurant and it is great. No fancy lavish menus here just good pub meals at great prices. I had the fresh prawn white wine pasta dish. Good sizes meal with just the right amount of white wine cream sauce to not take away from the fresh prawns. We started with the Ciabatta with trio of relish. How moorish! Staff are friendly and very attentive. If you are looking for fine dining this is not your place but for a quiet family gathering or a night out, give it a go. Friday night there is entertainment in the main bar.
I admit, it took me long time to get to reviewing this place, but it's one of those I take as granted. When people ask me what really is Polish food, I
