The Deck On George

The Deck is somewhat tucked away from the main hustle and bustle of George Street, especially if you’re not near the government end. Despite its location, it offers a solid menu with prices ranging from $15 to $30 for items like burgers and fish and chips, as well as main courses. The drinks menu is also well-priced. You can choose to sit on ‘the Deck’ and enjoy watching the traffic pass by, find a spot in the shaded area, or opt for the more formal private dining room indoors. If you find yourself in that part of town and are in need of a bite to eat in a pleasant outdoor setting, The Deck is definitely the place to go.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for lunch. The food offers excellent value for the price. My personal favorite dish is the salmon salad.

The restaurant has a charming ambiance near the botanic gardens. The menu is straightforward yet delicious. I enjoyed the vegetarian burger while my husband had the pork schnitzel, both of which were beautifully presented and flavorful. The coffee was excellent as well. The staff was friendly and efficient, and our meals arrived promptly. I highly recommend this place!
