Best coffee in La Macarena, where I lived in Bogotá for 4 months. It took a while to find a big cup of coffee in my neighborhood, but now it's my place. The owner is a nice guy from Sweden who is passionate about coffee and good entertainment. They also make fresh bread and authentic pastries from Sweden. It's a cool little place where I met some Bogotanos and had good conversations.
This place is fantastic. At first you wouldn't really go in here because you might think this place is in the supermarket and therefore would not be great. Guess what it is the complete opposite. You have seats inside and the owner is really friendly (Swedish guy). The coffee tastes strong and has the perfect combination of sweet and bitter. I definitely recommend going here, especially if you are in the 'Ole mi Casa Hostel', the type from above.
Music of God, fantastic fresh coffee and English-speaking staff. The coffee bar is located in a supermarket in the heart of La Macarena.
El Café el Sueco más allá de ser un lugar para tomar un excelente café, preparado con dedicación y con exquisitos granos de "espresso workshop", es un bar donde se puede tener una agradable conversación con Robert, su propietario, o con los vecinos de la Macarena que frecuentan el bar. Si prefiere estar a solas, el sitio también lo permite. Mi desayuna favorito: el sandwich de tortilla con tinto!
