Bidrage med feedbackBeautiful little restaurant. the place to go if they want a beautiful, quiet meal. the decor is a bit tired and could with a fidget up, but there are some beautiful original features. the service we received was excellent. we would definitely return.
Sadly now closed and transformed into something else. in love to get the team at work breakfast, every Friday morning before lock-off the hash brew and brown toast was to die! sadly not in the position to compete with their millions of pounds support and subsidences against modern restaurants! pity as they unique in a modern word of the same old American rubble that has taken the British market for modern man.
This is a great little hideaway. The decor is as you'd expect for a Victorian tea room with pictures and decorations being from a different time. The menu is basic but tasty and well presented. Everything is served with a smile and the staff appear to get to know their regulars too which is such a nice touch in this day and age. It is based upstairs in the great western arcade which means it's central but away from the busy street outside. If what you are looking for is a nice simple lunch and a place to just sit and relax or read a book (as i do here) then this is the place for you. Lone diners are more than welcome and the staff will make you feel welcome.
The Victorian Cafe is beautifully decorated in an authentic Victorian style, creating a lovely atmosphere. It attracts a diverse mix of customers, and the service is exceptional. I truly enjoy having breakfast and lunch here whenever I have the opportunity. The tuna baguette was delicious, served with a side of crisps and salad. The only downside is that it feels a bit overpriced. Aside from that, it’s a quality restaurant with excellent staff and tasty food. I highly recommend it. KJ.
Adorable decor. no lift to top with a stroller or wheelchair, but it is nice top. affordable lunch options.
