Highfield Chippy - Birmingham

This use to be the best chippy in hall Green, I don’t know if it’s changed owners, but now it’s the worst, I had fish and chips from here, the chips were stale, fish was small for a large cod and inedible.

Not good at all. Second time here. Food just warm. Fish batter like chewing gum. Chips horrible. Just like last time.

All ways nice food from there any issues with food they helpful menager and stuff I'm very happy with them

This place used to be fantastic. The food was hot and fresh. Something changed between May 2022 and July/August 2022 whether that be owners or supplies because since then, when i've order the food has been absolutely disgusting. I've tried 3 times since, hoping they were just having bad days but i cannot stomach it. I dont know what you guys did (or didnt do) but use F'd up a real good place

We ordered large haddock and chips via Just Eat. Food took ages to arrive and when we opened the packet, it was clear the fish was definitely NOT large. They'd sent a very small piece of cod. Hungry as we were after waiting so long, but the fish was rubbish. Soggy batter and it was barely tepid. Will not be using this chippy again, how on earth it won awards in the past is beyond me!
