Mimì La Casa Dei Sapori - Bergamo

None of the food tastes good. Everything was just really bland. Very sweet waiters however, but at bit forgetful with our order.

We have visited many times over the years and this restaurant was a real favourite a few years ago. Last night, we were a little disappointed with our visit. The food was still very good and the choice has improved for non meat eaters. However, there is only a choice of rather expensive wines now. We could not see a local house wine, which there always used to be. They had ‘sold out’ of the cheapest wine at 23euros and up sold us one at 30euros. That made the simple meal of pasta and a bottle of wine pretty expensive for what we had.

Found a table for 2 people without reservation (around 01:00 pm). Kindness of personnel, good quality of food. Good value for money.

We were very disappointed with this restaurant. We were taken to a table and then forgotten about. We sat for 25 minutes before being able to catch the attention of a waiter to take an order for drinks and food. I asked for my meal without fresh rocket and was astonished to be told that was not possible. Altogether a very poor experience. Food was ok, service was dreadful and the staff seemed indifferent.

After the awful meal at Circolino the night before this was just what we were looking for. The area was very busy but they did their best to get us a table and the menu had a lot of options that didn't include polenta, which isn't easy in Bergamo. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the food was fabulous and, like most of Citta Alta, very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
