Just Like Momma's Llc - Benton Harbor

Just met Josef in Just Like Mommas Soul Food Food Truck at River Festival in Nikes Michigan! Joe is an excellent Rep for this Food Truck and the food was delicious. Philly steak, Hot Wings with homemade J sauce or Barbecue sauce! We told him to check out OUR hometown not too far south Indianapolis! Maybe this excellent food Truck can pay a visit during Brickyard. Keep your eyes open Indy!

This food reminded me of good Southern cooking like I make!! There was even chicken in the dressing! Yassssssss!!

Finally got to try Just Like Mommas for dinner tonight. My husband and I had seen some great pictures online and they convinced us we couldn't pass this place up. We come in and we order a cheeseburger special and a double cheeseburger special, both coming with fries. My husband wanted a bacon burger but they had no bacon which was surprising. I sit on one of the little couches while waiting for the food. The inside is definitely not a sit down place, it's a take out restaurant. The couches were so small that I took up 70% of it and nobody could sit next to me except maybe a child. If anyone else wanted to come in, they'd have to stand because my husband and I took over the 2 couchs. When we got our food my husband was looking at it like a child about to dive into opening presents on Christmas day. The fries were clearly fresh cut potatoes and oh man were they tasty. Best fries I've ever had. The patties were juicy and lookes delicious but they were not as good as I hoped. You could taste that they hadn't cleaned the grill after they made fish. My burger tasted like fish once it got even the slightest bit cold. When it was fresh off the grill it wasn't as noticeable, but at room temp you could taste it. I'll still come back to try something else but I will never order a burger again.

Good food, nice staff...only drawback is not all menu items available everyday.
