Southfin Southern Poke - Baton Rouge

What a hidden gem! I had to leave a review for this place! I've been here before, but the service and food were outstanding today. The staff really know what they're doing. Thank you! I tried the rainbow bowl, which was the special of the month, and the sauce was amazing.

I travel often for work and am a huge poké eater. It?s my #1 favorite food and I make a point to always find a poké restaurant wherever I visit. That being said, this is easily top 10 poké places I?ve ever been to! I am a regular customer here and will continue to frequent this location. The reason for 4 and not 5 stars is because of their rice. In my opinion it?s the only thing holding them back from being top 3 to me. It?s hard and has the texture of day old refrigerated rice. It?s not the freshly cooked, warm, fluffy rice you?d expect in sushi and poké. With that out of the way, everything else is amazing! The restaurant is super clean, staff is incredible friendly and knowledgeable about poké, and the ingredients (other than the rice) are fresh and delicious. Multiple staff members have suggested new things for me to try based on what I said I like, and every time their suggestions have been spot on. Their mushrooms specifically are an amazing topping that I?ve not seen at any other poké place.

Southfin is probably the best poke I have had in Baton Rouge. The ingredients are so fresh and delicious you really can't go wrong! When COVID began they switched to delivery or pickup only and the day after I got a personal text from the owner (got number from ordering system) thanking me for supporting local during a trying time. I have never been disappointed and LOVE the healthy zoodle option personally! I an not a zoodle person but for me it works in poke perfectly!

After a long day of traveling, we arrived in Baton Rouge. I had never been to this city before, so I was happy to find that Southfin Southern Poke was conveniently located nearby. It was our first time trying this type of cuisine, and we were welcomed by two lovely women who provided excellent service. Our meals were prepared with care and tasted delicious. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely be stopping by. Thank you to the ladies at Southfin for a great dining experience. If we could, we would give you more than five stars!

Basically, this is a salad restaurant with seafood to supplement the salad. The ingredients are certainly fresh, the seafood I had (Gulf tuna and shrimp) was tasteful. and fresh, the combination of ingredients in the Wasabi grass dish worked really well together. From the Spartan interior, I must say that the expectation seems to be a majority business. Then I didn't go back where I expected great interior design. All in all a pleasant experience!
