Reggae Beach -grill - Basseterre

Amazing food and friendly people! The Caribbean Sea at this beach is incredible—clear, warm, and calm. You can rent sun loungers for $5 each and umbrellas for $10. I celebrated my birthday here in July 2022!

I must start by saying that the lobster here is among the freshest and most succulent I've ever tasted! When you pair it with fantastic cocktails—like the rum punch, which was exactly what I needed on a hot day (and be warned, it packs a punch!)—along with amazing, friendly, and enjoyable service, it’s no wonder this place has such a stellar reputation. With delicious food, welcoming service, and exceptional cocktails, you also get to enjoy a beautiful beach right in front of you. The water is crystal clear and warm, offering stunning views of the Caribbean and the island of Nevis. If you're looking for a fun place to spend the day, Reggae Beach and Bar is definitely a great choice!

We came to this restaurant for the Lobster Festival but were informed that they were fully booked. Fortunately, Sean from the USA, who is also a Kittian, inquired about us again, and they were able to accommodate us. The food was enjoyable, though it felt pricey for a British traveler. The highlight of our visit was when the water sports staff informed us that a small turtle had taken up residence under their boat and had been spotted that morning. After a brief search, we found the turtle—though it certainly wasn’t small! Visitors are encouraged to swim and take photos, but please remember not to disturb the turtle. On our evening visit, I was bitten by flies, so I recommend bringing some insect repellent. Overall, the bar has a vibrant atmosphere, the food is great, there’s a shop at the back, and if you happen to snore, you can swim with the turtle for free!

If you want the island vibe, the Reggae Beach Bar Grill is a great place to check out. Laid back setting, beautiful beach with crystal clear water, terrific cocktails, and great seafood.
