Dil Tandoori - Basildon

First time ever visited yesterday, brought our own wine. First impression was nice and clean. Waiter was attentive. Food was not great. I have been visiting Indian restaurants for over 30 years but I have never seen a balti as red S this one. Also second day I have had a really bad upset tummy

Food here is always great and portion size is to , delivery always sooner then stated and comes fresh and hot Great service

After using this takeaway weekly for several mths the staff we’re always very rude but I always felt that perhaps this was down to a language barrier or hoped this was the case. The food though incredibly expensive had been exceptional. After placing an order last night and receiving what looked nothing like it should do. I politely called up explaining the food was in edible and asking perhaps if they had a new chef etc as it was so out of character. He made it abundantly clear that I was never to order from there ever again and spent 15mins refusing to give my money back. Very disappointing and upsetting. Disgusting way to treat your customers. Now I just have to hope the money actually does get refunded back on to my card and I don’t have further issues with them

The food is good and service is fast We take our own drinks in as there is no bar Chicken madras and special rice is very good

A neighbour recommended this place so we gave it a try and we were very impressed. Enjoyed it so much we ordered again a few nights later. I had the Manchurian Chicken vindaloo hot. Highly recommend it.
