Chicken Express - Bartlesville

We eat at Chicken Express more than any other place when we travel the 45 miles to Bartlesville. I really want to like it, but the food is rarely hot. In fact, the only thing that is guaranteed was hot, the chicken livers... that'll be 5 minutes as we make them fresh. I'd wait 10 or more minutes to get everything hot. Yesterday the fish was old (very common), chicken strips lukewarm, corn nuggets cold. We saw the crowd grow (1215 or so) hoping to come again next time when everything is hot. Problem: too much cooked before sitting under heat lamps. Problem: Orders do not sit under heat lamps waiting for all elements to be added. We'll keep trying. Can you ask if you are freshly cooked?

We've been to the chicken express twice. The first experience was great and the food was good. This time around the man who accepts our order was rude and could not get the order right. Asked specifically for gravity without the potatoes and apparently this is a big thing and the worker got a stance with us. Unfortunately we love to leave the food here because of the staff.

Delicious food and order was always accurate. Would highly recommend. I was just in the car so I didn't comment in the experience eating.

Pros: The staff is friendly. Cons: Food is not great. Chicken was lean and mostly bread. Biscuits were hard like a rock. Mac and cheese melted as if it was cooked in asparagus water. Apple cake had no taste at all (I have no COVID). But at least we can say Chicken Express in Bartlesville!

The service was outstanding at Chicken Express. ? The people there went above and beyond what I expected. Thank you so much employees at Chicken Express for making our food delicious and providing excellent service.
