Stopped in for lunch between distillery visits. Husband had brisket dinner brisket and 2 sides; fried potatoes and mac cheese. I had brisket sandwich and FF. Also had cornbread and bought a piece of chocolate cake to take home. All the food was great. Prices very reasonable. Wished we had time to go again.
The food was excellent! My husband ordered the ribs and I ordered brisket. The brisket comes as a sandwich but I tossed the bun and had plenty to eat. The beans were great too. Corn bread is sweet, so it depends on what you like. The building was probably an old country store, not an outer appearance that will draw you in. But all barbecue fans know not to pay too much attention to the building. Service wasn’t speedy, but it wasn’t terrible either. All in all, it’s great food and that is what counts. I highly recommend!
We went off the beaten path and almost missed this little place. Doesn't look like much but the ribs were fall off the bone and the corn cakes had great flavor..no ambiance but good food!
I have high hopes for this place... My pulled pork was like something out of a Lloyd’s container and my wife’s brisket never saw the inside of a smoker...
