Sarda Restaurant - Bambolim

As we had visited someone at the nearby GMC Hospital and had heard so much about this place, we decided to stop here for lunch. Located just behind the Holy Cross Church at Bambolim, this place seems to have made quite a name for itself....I am not quite sure why as the ambience and hygiene are poor to say the least. Cheap and nasty plastic chairs and tables which are cleaned with a cloth that is dirtier than the table. Stray dogs lying under the table and chairs. A rickety hand wash basin outside. Anyway, decided to put all this behind us if the food was as great as they say. Sadly, it was just OK. The stuffed mackerel in a banana leaf was OK. So was the thali Nothing special. I will say though that the fried prawns were great but then again, anyone can make great fried prawns. Service and prices were slightly on the higher side for an establishment of this standard. Because of the ambience I would not go there again!!

First of all i love this place. I go here twice a week. They have the best fish in whole of Goa. The ambiance is not great but it can be excused due to the food. The fish is great don't try the thali. Order...Special fish like red snapper, king fish, Prawns and very rear fish seasonally. The gravy dishes like chicken, Prawns, Shellfish are beautiful overall full stars for this place. I love it.

It may not look very glossy but trust me, the food and the cost beats many hands down. If you are a seafood junkie and would really like to relish authentic Goan seafood, please do search and visit this place. It has a very basic...setting like a little roadside shack, but just wait till you taste the food. Do try the bangda fish wrapped in banana leaf and the shellfish. They serve brown rice in their thali which is way better than the normal rice. Do give it a try!!

It is located besides the Holy Cross at Bambolim. Most people stop here for lunch because of convenience. The food is nicely cooked and garnished well. This eatery is popular with people traveling to Panjim, I would rate lower if not for the good food....Specially to the cleanliness

This is a shed style local restuarant n bar ..Good to catch your aftrnoon lunch in a jiffy.. Food is good but they provide very ordinary fish in the fish thali if one wants any special fish , than it has to be ordered separately...which is priced quite high.. The seating arrangement doesnt evn deserve one star...No proper arrangement fr washing hands.. Mostly frequented by local men who eat quite distastefully making for a bad sight..Ladies may feel uncomfortable to eat here. Prawns , mussels and fried fish is good here albeit one has to shell out quite a bit for the same. Staff are often rude and haughty. with the same money one can have a decent meal in a good restuarant with comfortable settings. Nothing great..You will not miss anything if you dont eat here..
