Gunpowder - Assagao

A recent survey listed Gunpowder as one of the top 10 restaurants in India, so I decided to drop by this place when in Goa, since I had the feeling that the rating was largely influenced by the ambience. While the ambience is amazing, the food was equally great, especially the Appam and the Idukki pork curry. The beef curry and Kerala mutton curry were quite delicious too, but the pork curry was the winner hands down. Also, this place is quite affordable considering the ambience, the quality of food, and the fact that it’s within the premises of People Tree. Can’t wait to visit this place again. Strongly recommended.

Its not just another place ... Its just the place to get absolutely good food service and spectacular stuff. The whole place has a charming ambience. The staff are courteous and very pleasing....

My fav place in Goa for an authentic goan meal. Love the vibe. Ordered Vegetables in coconut gravy with rice appam and it was delicious. The appams were very soft. The pineapple lemongrass cooler is fab. The staff is very kind and hospitable. Location is a little difficult to figure out but its totally worth the ride. On my visit i came to know its pet friendly which is a win win for me. Totally recommend it.
