Baker Travel Plaza

An ideal EV charging stop for anyone traveling from Southern California to Las Vegas. The food court offers a fantastic variety of options for the entire family, including delicious frozen yogurt. This has become a must-visit spot for me every time I head to Vegas.

This charming plaza offers more dining options than the larger truck stops like Loves, TA, and Petro. It feels almost like a mini food court. In addition to the usual convenience store found at truck stops, there are clean restrooms and a harmonious blend of families and truckers. The atmosphere is quite pleasant. The plaza is well-lit, tidy, and features a clear distinction between standard parking, truck parking, regular fuel pumps, and those for big rigs. If you’re traveling between Nevada and California, this stop is a great alternative to the Barstow location!

When this restaurant first opened, I was really excited about the variety of options they offered. However, I’ve been let down since then. The last time I visited was at 7:30 am, and I was hoping to grab something from either Cinnabon or Coffee Bean to kickstart my day. Unfortunately, the only place that was open was Subway, which I found quite disappointing. I might stop in for gas if necessary, but otherwise, I think I'll be skipping this place in the future.

I'm giving this place 2 stars, and the only reason is that it was fairly clean. Unfortunately, at 5:30 am, the only part of the restaurant that was open was the store, and there was nothing cooking on the grills for breakfast. Additionally, accessing the restaurant was quite frustrating. I mistakenly entered through the truck parking area, thinking it was the main entrance, only to discover it was just a dirt lot. I then had to exit, loop around to the service road, and find the correct driveway to get in.

I stopped here to use the restrooms and grab some drinks and snacks for the journey. They offered a nice variety of snack options as well as several fast food restaurants. However, the restrooms could have been cleaner; they were acceptable but not the best.
