Bidrage med feedbackWe have been visiting this restaurant during road trips since the 1990s, and we always love the vegan falafel and dolmades. It is important to mention that although the zucchini sticks are labeled as vegan on the menu, they are typically served with a non-vegan ranch dressing. Vegans should remember to ask for no ranch dressing.
Discovered a charming local Greek restaurant offering a variety of lunch options, including a vegan choice, in the quaint, remote desert town of Baker. Perfect for enjoying a meal outdoors.
Good hold for proper biting on the return of vegas,
Most of my life in the opposite of chicagoland gyro and Italian bark varieties are abundant. we drive along the interstate 15 in the middle of a desert and I see a sign that mad greek cafe. really?! as we were from the autobahn, in the direction of the city baker, I did not expect to find anything except an old pastry restaurant that existed a long time ago before fast food chain restaurants came into existence. when we drove through baker ca, I was almost sure that this place no longer existed. as I said in another review, there is nothing wrong with almost food chain restaurants, but find something better in the middle of nowhere is just luck! as we continued on a wise one, on my right side it stood like the parthenon in the old Greece. a spectacle of white statues on the vicinity of the restaurant. we went in and it was order at the theke and they call their number when it is ready service. the gyro meat was juicy and tasted like the gyro meat of the Greek city in chicago. the zaziki sauce, red tweepers, tomatoes and salat were the perfect accompaniment to the tasteful tender Gyro meat. the pita was so soft and fresh. I wish I could have tried the hummus, but my gyro is probably enough calories for 2 days worth food and I didn't order it. also my men tasted to house made strawberry jake, that was 10 out of 10. I couldn't think of what it would do better. this place is an oasis in the desert.
To beat a star because it is so dang expensive! I have a great Greek salate with falafel, fetaries and a shake and it was $40! but I understand how it is. they are in the middle of nothing, and it is simply good, in the situation, a few fresh healthy street food (fries and shake despite so despite the price, I would probably have given five stars. but unfortunately, they have taken all crazy decorations after the recent reconstruction! so that alone through the dock a star. Maybe they just didn't finish it, and they're still gonna put everything up. for I personally was a great fan of all the strange Greek bric-a-brac over the walls. when the owners read it. please let her fly again!
