Crystal Lake Cafe - Azusa

Buy grilled cheese sandwich, tasted like it was grilled with old fat. Had some chili and it tasted like the bottom of the pot. It could have been so much better. So cheated.

I had a fantastic experience at the cabin. My one-year-old and three-year-old enjoyed the freedom of being outdoors, along with the refreshing breeze from the café. The staff was friendly and attentive. My only worry is that this positive review will make it a more popular spot, possibly diminishing the rare tranquility that we find in Southern California.

I can't say enough about how much I love this place. Adam and his family are the most friendly hosts for those who visit. I love the introduction of friends and family into this oasis. The food is simply great, and the cabins Adam rented are amazing. Please respect the speed limits, families with children are outside and if you camp, please drown the fireplace before leaving. Have fun and visit. Yeah.

This establishment is truly a rare gem among businesses today. It beautifully blends a camping shop with a café, offering a delightful array of snacks, camping gear, souvenirs, and a cozy, rustic atmosphere. The owner, Adam, is engaging and charismatic, sharing intriguing stories about his life in the area and the local mountains. While the menu may be somewhat limited and the selection of dry goods small, it's quite impressive given its mountain setting. The café is open six days a week, only closing on Tuesdays.
