The ambiance is reminiscent of Hollywood movies that try to mimic the eateries in Goa! The chef-cum-owner, is a soft spoken fellow and carries a smile on his face. We were coming back from Auroville on a sunny afternoon and were very hungry. Couldn't find a proper eatery on our way back until we spotted this place. It was a little post lunch time and even he didn't have a great deal of food options to offer us. This was a great place back then and it was bustling with a lot of customers. It has closed and I wonder why. It had late service thought but the food was great and definitely worth every visit!

It was a little post lunch time and even he didn't have a great deal of food options to offer us. So we ordered a coffee and waited till he prepared some dish which included baked brinjals with deep fried potato wedges, with soy-sauce and a hint of olive oil sprinkled over lettuce and finely cut and golden fried onions. It's a nice gesture from his side that he offered to make something for us in that scorching summer afternoon post lunch time with nowhere else to go! He charged like ~600 bucks for a grandé coffee and two plates of God-knows-what's-the-name which was not cheap but it did fill us up. Cleanliness was top notch and they have a rule of no footwear inside the eatery which was a different experience from the usual. Do give it a try when you're doing rounds on Auroville road. Bon appétit
