Kababa Express - Aurora

I was looking for Persian restaurants along the way on my day trip to check out a boat with my cousin and his friend. So I went on the net. And found this restaurant in this area of Ontario. This was my first experience with Persian food at a restaurant. When I got there I was impressed. I met two Iranians from Iran. Farbod and Ali. I asked Farbod what he recommended and he suggested that I get the Soltani ka.ba.ba. So I ordered that and Iranian Baklava and an Iranian drink called Choopan. Farbod gave me a sample of the Iranian Lentil soup too. They had pictures on the walls and Farsi music playing and a wall that you can write a comment on it. I did. The atmosphere and staff and food was great. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Especially to the people living in this area. Show them your love and support. Too bad I live too far away from this restaurant or I would be going there all the time. I hope to go there sometime again in the future. Have a great day! :-)

Home made with love soul food. Soup is very flavourful. Naan bread made on premises. Fluffy, chewy goodness. Marinated chicken is grilled to perfection. The falafels so delish we ordered a second helping. The space is super clean and up-beat looking. Photos of Iranian poets and movie stars stud the wall. Remember to say "mercy" when you are offered a sample cup of the lentil soup. Craving already more of this food.

We've driven by the restaurant many times and finally dropped in. The premises were clean and at about 630 pm on a Thursday, we were the only customers. We had a beef dish and the lamb shank. The beef was very tasty and the lamb very tender although without much added flavor. Aside from a few grilled tomatoes and a great deal of rice, which was cooked perfectly, there was nothing else on the plates. I would have preferred bit less rice and perhaps another vegetable. Service was very politely friendly. From our observations over the past year, they do quite a bit of takeout business.They also have Mediterranean pizzas on the menu which we plan to try on a subsequent visit.

Best kabab you could find outside of Iran. Good portion and reasonable price, great attitude, clean an open sitting area. I loved the photos of Iranian poets on the walls. Recommend it for sure.

Very clean establishment,owner extremely friendly and welcoming. Food is high quality,fresh, the lentil soup is outstanding! Highly recommend.
