The Bee's Knees - Augusta

Everything was fabulous! The tacos were a favorite for our group!

Nice menu. Lots of no-meat options for those who do not eat meat, but also options for fish/meat. Didn’t try the large plates, which were mostly Thai and sounded great. I had the fish tacos and artichoke/crab dip. Both very tasty. My husband raved about the cucumbers and also enjoyed the tuna tartare and stuffed artichoke. I found the wine by the glass selection to be very good. Will return.

No real meals. Just felt like I sat around and ate a lot of appetizers. Cute place but not a place to go if you’re hungry.

Waitress was clueless about cocktails and beer and had to repeat what you ordered twice each time. They were out of a beer on tap that was on the regular menu. They were also out of Makers Mark and offered no substitute for their Spicy Ginger Maker drink. My wife’s lemon drop martini tasted watered down. Menu was lacking any pizzaz. Food was very ordinary. Nachos were decent and more sizable than expected. Tempura fish tacos were made with such small pieces and heavily breaded that I couldn’t have distinguished what they were, had I not ordered them myself. The stir fry just had a strange flavor. We were seated in the raised area close to the window and there wasn’t enough room for wait staff to get through without bumping my chair. Not much of a date night. Won’t likely go back.

This was a terrible experience. They proposed a completely different menu without notice on New Year’s Eve and it was terrible. Everything outside of our drinks was terrible. Not the normal expected experience from this restaurant
