Denny's - Augusta

Today was special because my family was celebrating my deceased hubby birthday. Today this restaurant had a special of five silver dollar pancakes for $0.50 per person. There was 9 of us and the restaurant manager attended us. So we were well taken care of.

My husband and I literally just finished eating there. Our waitress was so kind and accommodating, she truly made our meal enjoyable! I'm so sorry that I don't remember her name. We went to cash out and a very nice manager was running the register. She apologized, but said she needed to reboot the register to cash us out. We said no problem and waited patiently as she continued to try and resolve the register issue, waiting probably 10+ minutes. She kindly then told us the meal was taken care of, as a thank you for our patience and told us she didn't want us to have to wait while they tried to troubleshoot their system. We asked if she was sure and she said yes, so we told her THANK YOU and left. We certainly were prepared to go get cash from the ATM if needed, but it was so nice of her to comp our meal! Please go visit this Denny's and enjoy the same wonderful service we did, we have always had a great experience. They truly put customers first.

Pretty decent service. There was only two waitstaff at the time and it was moderately busy. I could tell they were working hard with what they had and did their best. The food was still... Denny's. The biscuit+gravy special was the best bang for the buck.

Every Denny’s tends to be a little different in terms of atmosphere, ambiance, personnel and service. We were there 7 months ago and also within the past three weeks. We did not experience any of the more expected complaints of 'coffee refills were too slow and lukewarm, the breakfast condiments were slow and the staff looked harried and overworked, and that eggs received were too runny. ' I think it is possible to get runny eggs if you are not to clear on how you want them prepared, even if the place looks busy…Short order cooks know their stuff. The food at this Denny’s was good. We loved the staff love as we were made to feel very welcome. We sincerely doubt that it had anything to do with the particular day we were there. That is not to say that the experience of another customer on the same day might not be drastically different to our visit, but on this particular day, we had no complaints. The bathrooms are not the biggest available by any sense of the imagination, but they were dry, clean, odor free and looked well kept. If we are in the area again we will go back.

I always prefer Dennys as other American breakfast restaurants. I love they are salted caramel pancakes...
