Rafferty's Of Athens

I've been to rafferty twice. every time I eat here, it was very pleasant. the food tastes fresh and I love the grilled taste! the service is always fast and friendly. this will quickly become one of our favorite places to eat with friends. they are looking forward to the exploration of the other menu items.

Food was good. However my steak had a faint hint of being cooked over propane gas. No sure. We had Cowboy steak and prime rib. Sweet potato and baked potaoe. Both had salad and their honey nut crossiants were delicious. So light and fluffy. Paige was a new server and it a great job.

This was my husbands and I’s first time here, and although we were super excited to check out this place, it was honestly a disappointment. We got seated very quickly and our server was very nice, but once we finally got the food it was such a disappointment. My salad was just “meh”. I tried the garlic ranch dressing along with the vinaigrette and both were terrible. And the chicken fingers in my salad were the worst I’ve ever had greasy and flavorless. I ate most of my salad just bc I was starving, but it was not enjoyable whatsoever. My husband waited a while for mayo to be brought over as there was hardly any on his burger. He said the burger was nothing special and the fries were SUPER greasy and oily which he wasn’t a fan of. Our server was nice but honestly didn’t stop by our table very often and we had to wait and call her over many times in order to have anything brought over. At some point, we will definitely come back here bc I genuinely want to try other things on the menu and give this place another shot, but the food itself was not that good from today.

We've eaten at Rafferty's once in 26 years. We didn't remember why we didn't go back, so tonight we gave it a shot. It will probably be another 26 years before we come back. The food was average at best. The prices were ridiculously high for the quality of food. And the service... well, I'm had happier and more efficient servers at a McDonald's drive through.

Dinner was great! Make sure to try the ribeye medium with the blue cheese butter! Oh and the fried mushrooms!
