Cook Out

The dining area was closed when we visited. We ordered the combo meal, which is a great value at $5.99. However, the burger had a very small portion of meat. The shake was enjoyable for an extra $1. Overall, it was a decent experience—not amazing—but the drive-thru staff were friendly.

I prefer this location over the other one in Athens because the kitchen team consistently delivers fresh food every single time. The dishes are usually prepared accurately, though there are occasions when our burger orders get mixed up, especially when we request modifications. The order-taking process is generally excellent here; it can be a bit cumbersome when ordering a large number of items, but the cashiers usually handle it well. This is one of my top three lunch spots when I’m on the road for work, and I frequent it often. I always enjoy my meals, even if they aren't always perfectly accurate. Lately, however, we have noticed a slight increase in order mistakes, but the food remains fresh and delicious.

I had a complex order, and Diamond was incredibly friendly. She ensured that everything was correct, right down to the extra mayo packets. Her kindness and patience exemplified great customer service. On top of that, our food arrived very quickly! Thank you, Diamond, and the rest of the staff working that night (July 14, 2022, around 10 PM)!

Manager is very rude and unprofessional, coming from another local Athens GM; whichever one looks like she just got bit by a dog is terrible! I was charged for an upsize drink when I asked for a large, then was refused a large cup at the window and told ?I really just want you out of my drive through maam?. I have never had any issues with the young ladies I normally see at the drive through, but this manager is ridiculous and does not need a title or job in the food industry for that matter! Food was also cold and incorrect (we tried to eat at tables outside, so no excuse for cold food). I would really rate 0 stars if I could!

By far one of my top 5 places to eat and never unsatisfied in any way!!! Doesn't matter where I am I've ALWAYS had nothing but great experiences when eating at cookout!!!! And their milkshakes are absolutely the best over anybody else except the ones we make at home!!! I'm addicted to the banana fudge shake and the chocolate cherry shake. Two of my kid's faves are peach cobbler and banana pudding shakes!!! They are amazing every single time that we go!!! Keep the great work!!! The staff is also ALWAYS friendly, helpful, and smiling!!! ALWAYS!!!!
