We met friends here as they have a pretty menu good selection. If I ate fried food I would order the fried chicken. Oh my, I saw several plates of that being delivered to tables. It looked fabulous. As it was, I splurged on pancake battered bacon as an appetizer. So good! Burgers were great too. We will be back.Food: 5/5

We always enjoy visiting this restaurant whenever we travel to Virginia with our dog. The food is excellent, and they even have a special menu for our furry friends! Our dog absolutely loves the burger and brown rice. The staff is incredibly friendly towards dogs, and I believe they genuinely look forward to seeing pets brought in by their owners. Food: 5/5

What really stands out, though, is their special menu. Every week features a new selection, ranging from classic American dishes to innovative fusion options. In the four years we've been dining here, we've only seen a handful of specials repeat, and aside from rare exceptions, they’ve all been enjoyable. While the special portions are slightly smaller than regular entrées, they are still quite generous (with the exception of special appetizers), so you won't feel shortchanged. Service is typically good as well, with friendly staff and prompt service. On the rare occasions when something goes wrong, they quickly resolve the issue without any hassle. As for the prices, if I were still a broke college student, this would definitely be my go-to spot. Most items hover around $15, and the value is excellent. I often leave with enough food for another meal. In summary: good prices, great food, and excellent service make The Wicket worth a visit. Just steer clear of the half chicken, and you’re in for a great experience. Oh, and don’t forget the desserts—they're massive! The cinnamon roll is about 6 inches in diameter, and the coffee is some of the best I’ve had in restaurants (and as a bit of a coffee snob, that's saying something).

I was excited to try the pancake-battered bacon, but it turned out to be just a bit too salty for my taste. However, the grits and sausage were delicious! Overall, I would rate the food 4 out of 5.

This is one of our favorite places to get food. Everything we’ve had on the menu has been so yummy. They have a caramelized onion and goatcheese burger that is one of my all time favorite burgers I have ever had. Their chicken tender are also the best!Food: 5/5
