Okada Japanese Restaurant - Ashburn

The lack of coordination between the kitchen and sushi orders was a major disappointment. Despite waiting a considerable amount of time for the sushi order to arrive, everyone who had ordered sushi had finished eating for nearly 10 minutes before a single cooked fish entree was brought out. The server tried to shift the blame by stating that they put the orders in separately to each kitchen and had no control over coordination. If this is true, it reflects a failure in management. When dining out together, people expect to be able to eat together. Unfortunately, no manager came over to apologize or make any adjustments to the check, showing a lack of concern for the issue.

I want to thank the staff for making our evening so enjoyable. The food was incredible, with each dish being delicious and beautifully presented.

It’s an excellent sushi restaurant, with a nice interior. The only complaint I have is that after we were seated, my friend and I were asked to move in order to accommodate a larger party. The owner apologized, and offered us a free dessert, which we appreciated very much.

Food was great. Friendly staff and server; would love to go again.

Food was only so-so in flavor and came out room temperature at best. If hibachi style food is on the menu it should come out hot.
