Flamant - Annapolis

This restaurant for sure deserves 5 stars! I personally think this is the best dining venue in Annapolis! The food is excellent (we usually order appetizer, entree, desert, and drinks). The staff is amazing--probably the best manager we have ever met, excellent serving staff, and friendly chef who continually somehow perfects an already amazing menu. To top it off, the decor is stylish and esthetically pleasing--adding to the experience. I would recommend this for date night or treating visiting friends and family!

High hopes dashed. Overall, the food quality and quantity was fine but not for the price. For 4 people Appetizers, drinks (mostly beer), dinner and 2 deserts set us back over 550. With the exception of the crab rolls, which were great, food was “fine “ and very small portions. Probably won’t be going back even with the dearth of good restaurants in Annapolis.

Can not say enough good things about this beautiful neighborship bistro! everything makes me happy! the room, the people, and always the food! we are so happy to have this level of kitchen in our own backyard. we have been coming here for about a year each week and have never exhausted the experience. the chef is very generous to share his innovations. to see the photos is a hot smoked salmon with steamed cabbage and because he heard me say: "Next time when I command the crab cake with brokkoli", he added a mini version to our dinner! the week before him made meerrettich with deep fried crepes that were submitted with celery root purée. everyone has to shoot this place! and it is the perfect size space, little need to worry about getting a virus!

I loved the menu, the quaint setting and the energy of this restaurant. Plus we dined with an 19 month old and they were very accommodating.

This was just a first impression. Unfortunately, there was an issue with my husband's meal, and the staff did not handle it well—they ended up arguing with him about it. Given the prices in Annapolis, both the food and service should be excellent. I would consider returning with different friends, but my husband has no intention of coming back.
