Shibley's at the Pier. - Alton Bay

A beautiful small and expensive restaurant on the banks of the river. Nice view outside. The restaurant is small so that the tables are very close to each other. I can basically say that I have fed with some strangers. Could see what they eat, hear everything they talked about. The menu is quite large, it was hard to make a choice. The food was good, not something spectacular, just good.

One of Alton's favorites. We have eaten here a few times and always had an excellent culinary experience. Friendly attentive staff, the food was great. The menu has choices for every taste from appetizers, soups, salads, to the most important dinners. Seaside seating is very popular so you can wait for lunch or dinner during high season.

I have always been there for years ALWAYS was satisfied, but today was a terrible experience. My $24 cheese burger tasted like old meat, the onions were definitely not fresh cut as they had no taste, the cheese on my burger was not melted, the poppers were cold. and Ta boat we were for an hour and a half for lunch part of it was a 20 minutes waiting for our check? I'm wondering if COVID has retrieved their experienced staff? I spent over $100 for a lunch that was not as good as the $13 Square Burger Fast Food Joint I stopped on the way home!!

Beautiful view and delicious food! I had the fried Haddock sandwich and the important lime cake and they were both delicious! Service was friendly and efficient. Sit out if you can, because the lake is beautiful!

Our first visit. We had a 5pm reservation for the deck and, even though we were 9 minutes early, we were seated almost immediately. Our server, Nicki, came to get our drink order in mere minutes and was super attentive during our visit. My fiancé had the warm spinach salad with roasted duck breast and I had the seafood risotto. Both were fantastic. Nicki was great and i highly recommend a visit. 5 out of 5 stars.
