Bidrage med feedbackOn Friday night they have an absolutely stunning Bourbon selection. also with the help of a very well-known and personablen mike (barkeeper) we cost some delicious bourbons and had a very cool time. it seems like a great place for a night out!
I guess I expect more from a place like this. Even though it was a bit chilly we decided to sit outside near the cozy fire. It took them awhile to get to us even though it was Tuesday at 6. Not really busy inside that we could see. We eventually were greeted by a young man who explained it was his last day training. He was alone so I guess he was pretty much done. Anyway, we placed our drink and appetizer order and asked what specials they might have and if they had a soup of the day. He didn't know but said he'd find out. The server didn't come back for maybe 15 minutes with our drink order which was a white Russian and toasted almond. Two very simple drinks. Had to be the slowest bar tender in the world. Our appetizer showed up while he was back taking our order so within 1 minute of him returning with our bar drinks. We never did get our answer about soup and when we asked about the happy hour specials we were told that they only talk about them when someone asks and he wasn't exactly sure about them. The challenge here is that my lady can't eat right after drinking so we try to get our first drink in before we get food and usually we have enough time but this time they came at the same time more or less. She ended up eating right after drinking and that really upset her stomach. She knows she shouldn't do that but we wanted to enjoy the meal and she figure she'd try anyway. Lesson learned there. The calamari was very good. The Salmon was also tasty. I so do love brussel sprouts. All in all it was a nice meal and the server was nice. When we took our check a woman brought it back and said have a good night. That was the point I realized that I wasn't even tipping him. She was supposed to be shadowing him making sure how his final day of training was. She never said anything to us nor inquired how things were going. I think they could have done a better job taking care of their guests since he was still in training and not on his own which is what it seemed until the very end. I would go back but it's not my first choice.
The food was great. Very pricey. Our server is why I will give 3 stars. If someone is in training, why would you leave them alone? He/she did not know the menu or come to the table to check if we needed anything. I'm not blaming him/her, I'm blaming your training system. This may be something you'd want to look at.
Just got a phone call from a group of 8 females friends from work who decided they wanted to go have some drinks and food. Upon arrival they were told that they were at capacity (UNDERSTANDABLE) So now as they're trying to figure out where to go, 5 white females approach the same staff member LOW AND BEHOLD they were let in with no problem Did I forget to mention that my female friends were Black and Brown So they go back to the person who told them that they are at capacity No explanation It's like they were talking to the wall Asked for a manager same treatment JUST IGNORED. Racist,,, Sure as hell felt like it
Service was terrible, they had specials and 3 people were over charged and were not refuned. Waited about 15 to 20 mins at the bar for a drink. I get it , it was cinco de mayo but they had alot of bartenders. Maybe will try another day thats not as busy and make sure i check my receipt.
