Canlan Sports - Aldergrove Langley

My son plays at twin rinks and I’ve watched a lot of hockey in my day. Referee number 77 is a serious problem, uses unnecessary force in scrums and is unwilling to change. Management is no better when emailing to tell them about the situation they will not respond. If you want your kids in hockey look elsewhere as this rink is on the serious decline.

The quality of the facility and the quality of officiating has been on a rapid decline over the years. Avoid this facility, their refs use excessive force on players (ref #77)

If you’re looking to play rec hockey avoid this facility at all costs. Poor quality of ice, poor quality of restrooms in the dressing rooms most of the time something is not working including toilet urinal and some of the worst officiating I’ve seen in my 20 or so years playing hockey. There’s a reason you see this rink on the news. Stay away!!

My son had a hockey practice here today. I was very impressed with this facility. Canlan Sports has a beautiful arena. Everything was clean, the change rooms were great and the kids had a good time. Would definitely recommend it for hockey teams, our team will almost certainly be back.

I sent my children to Canlan for two sets of a seven week long beginner’s class, but never receive one single feed back during that 3 month period about their progress. I spoke to the teacher, and sent emails, to talk about how the children are doing, the teacher said she’d get back to me by email and now almost a month has gone by and still no single word back. Now i’m sending kids to a different skate learning facility
