Bidrage med feedbackI came here with my fiancée. we sat in the oysterable and it was much fun to watch the kitchen, do their thing on a busy Friday night. they have a good team and the service was great. we ordered oysters on the half-shell and wept. management is great when they entered when they noticed that their server were busy. will be back!
The Bare Minimum. From the sullen greeting at the door to the soggy Calamari, this restaurant is a study in mediocrity. All the fish was limp. Don 't call it crusted if the crust is sliding off the oily, soggy fish. The Calamari was particularly revolting. Very pleasant server but all-in-all this is not a meal I can recommend. Not worth the price. Not even close.
Our waiter (Luke) was very nice and attentive throughout our meal and offered a large cake for my birthday. The oysters were ice cold and steaming, respectively. In other words, it was a great night. A great date night location for seafood lovers.
They honor our Second Amendment rights!!! The food is delicious. And the presentation of the food is pretty cool, too. Now the price is my only gripe about this place. It's way over priced. Don't get me wrong, the food is good, but not $140 good for four people (and that was without drinks). The ambiance is nice, candles at every table, low lighting, could be romantic. But everytime I come here, the place is empty, and I can't help but feel everytime like I'm at the wrong venue. Where is everyone? I want to be where the party's at and it certainly ain't here. How does this place stay in business? By over pricing their meals apparently. Mental note to self to not come back here until I'm rich. But they do honor our 2a, so there's alot to be said there.
Out of towers and decided on fish with our local friend we were visiting. We ordered the fish and chips which were the best i ever had, the fries had a real distinct flavor of their own, the fish was plump and fresh, the batter crisp and light. My chowder was excellent. Many chowders are too milky and lack clams, not this one. Bottomless salad bowl was crisp, fresh and well presented. Sides of sunflower seeds and croutons topped it off. Trout almondine was very nice. Patrick, our server ,was alert and attentive. Great experience on our first visit to Albuquerque. Oh yes, the calamari was the best we have had and we frequent fresh fish markets in the S. Cal area often. Enough food to enjoy for lunch on our trip back home the following day.
