Bidrage med feedbackI’m not sure who taught me how to make a Philly cheesesteak, but this isn’t it. I won't be spending my money here again. Food: 1/5.
Upon entering, there were only three people in the restaurant, and I greeted everyone with an upbeat tone, but unfortunately, no one responded. I asked to look over the menu, which seemed to annoy the cashier, who was watching TV when I walked in. I mentioned it was my first visit and asked for a recommendation between the lemonade and the restaurant's signature punch. The cashier replied that it was up to me, as it was my choice. I ordered two burgers, one shrimp combo, and a single piece of fish, totaling $30. After paying, the cashier simply said, "Okay, it's good," and repeated this as if signaling me to sit down and wait for my food. When I requested my receipt, since he didn’t offer it, his tone changed, and he asked if I needed it. I affirmed that I always keep receipts, at which point he informed me he had rung up my order incorrectly! I was shocked because had I not asked for the receipt, he wouldn't have mentioned it. I was overcharged for one of the burgers, and he had also added two coleslaws that I hadn’t requested, as nobody in my family eats coleslaw. It seemed to annoy him that I was concerned about his mistake. I kept it simple and opted to receive extra shrimp and a piece of fish instead of the nearly $9 refund. With all that food, I was given only one tartar sauce. As for the food: - The burgers were sloppily assembled and not cooked to our liking; the cheese was barely melted, and the buns were soggy. - The shrimp tasted like imitation shrimp, perhaps from the frozen section of a grocery store—very strange and overcooked. - The fish was seasoned well but tasted old, much like the punch. My husband and I couldn’t finish the fries—they weren't cooked properly and were unappetizingly stiff. I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food, especially given the price; it certainly didn’t meet restaurant-grade standards. Maybe the cook was having an off day. About an hour later, I had to drink two ginger ales as my stomach felt very strange. I usually don’t judge a place by its appearance, but seeing mold on the ceiling should have been a clear warning sign for me to leave quickly. I regret not trusting my instincts.
The owner's favorite wait time is 12 minutes, so be sure to call ahead. The punch and lemonade always impress me, and the food is just as great! Give it a try!
My favorite place for delicious seafood! The dishes were incredibly flavorful, and the service was better than what I usually find. The prices were reasonable considering the high quality of the food, reminding me of a restaurant I enjoyed in Washington.
Amazing food! Definitely worth the search! The prices are fantastic, and everything was incredibly fresh! I will be back for sure! Rating: 5/5
