We ordered some sandwiches which were made fresh and served. The ginger honey lemon was excellent. There was a library, and also some books on local history which gave a great intro to Ooty’s history. The cafe itself has the history of being setup by Priscilla Gonsalves, who is the mother of Kartiki Gonsalves of The Elephanr Whispheres fame. It was supposed to be the first lending library and cafe of the region. The place was bit old and rundown, though the local touch and history and the fresh food makes it worth a visit! A favourite haunt of the old Ooty faithfuls. For 5 years that i stayed in this beautiful town iv been a regular visitor. Best sandwiches say the locals and they are right. A very good filter coffee and my favourite is the Hot Ginger Lemon Honey tea. If Kumar sir has made cookies do nibble into them. I love this Coffee bar, I have been going since my college time. Try their Banana pie cake, walnut cake, burgers, pizza, rolls, shakes etc. They prepare as per order. They have a small library inside and all staffs are Friendly.
