The Tandoor Hut - Kotagiri

Review: This restaurant serves the worst food and has terrible service. We ordered takeout for dinner and were very disappointed. The price per person ranges from ₹200 to ₹400. The atmosphere was also lacking, receiving a rating of 1. The only recommended dish is the Egg Fried Rice.

Small, tucked away in a corner; opens only after 4 pm. Shuts early. Is normally sold out by 8:30 pm. Can place orders on phone. No packaging material for take aways (recent environment order in the District bans polythene, aluminum and other such packing material) take your own packing boxes for take aways. Must sample double rolls (Chicken/egg) chicken tikka achaari chicken tikka hariyali mutton seekh chicken tikka reshmi. The 'Nawabi ' was quite a damper. Eat on site while standing. For a rainy day, eat in your four wheeler or under an umbrella.

Only Maida paratha served. Fried rice was OK. Quick service. No place to sit, either stand and eat or take out. Chicken Paneer roll was good.

Earlier they had two varieties of veg rolls but unfortunately now there is just panneer and nothing else. Nonetheless it is a fantastic roll and i dont mind eating just this.

Recently when I went to Kottagiri for an audit, the manager suggested to have dinner from the Tandoor Hut and the place was bit crowded. We had to wait for half an hour to get the parcel but the waiting was worth it. Couldn't believe that such well prepared Tandoor dishes were available. Soft Tandoori Chicken, Naan and chilly chicken were really nice. Must say that one of the best Tandoori Chicken I had.
