Taste of Paradise - Zürich

We had a lunch at main station by taste of paradise food was excellent. we enjoyed the food very much

I have known Taste of Paradise over 18 years, and still recommend anyone who desires to taste Authentic Sri Lankan & Asian cuisine, to experience it at Taste of Paradise, Zürich Stall at the ZH HB.

The rice was dry, the tables were covered with oily spots and the waiter used DIRECTLY his fingers to place the food on the buffet table!! if you like to pay more than 100CHF for this, then you are on the right choice!!ah! and... we where told that no reservation was possible for the next tweo weeks, because the restaurant was overbooked!! hahahhahahahahhahahha!!! DO NOT BELIEVE THAT: the guy simly does not want to work, and tries to have all the reservations on the same day, so that he can recycle the food!! and finally.. who saw the receipt????

This Sri Lankan restaurant serves quite good food but the waitresses and waiters are rather unfriendly and act stuck up. The price of a small bottle of mineral water at CHF 6.00 is very high and if you elect to drink tap water they still charge CHF 2.00 per small glass!

Had dinner on a Saturday evening at ToP due to a Groupon voucher. The first thing I must mention is the very limited parking space at the restaurant, so we had to use the Parkhaus Hardau that is in approx. 500 meters walking distance and arrived 30 minutes late. Upon arrival at the restaurant, the first impression was as described in many of the previous reviews. Quite crowded, everyone paying with vouchers, luckily about three tables were not occupied otherwise it would have been unpleasant. Then of course it is quite loud. And you have to bear with the one only waiter, as he is very busy so you sometimes have to be a bit patient. Now to the upsides: The waiter and the manager are friendly, and the food (shrimps and Indian buffet) is really tasty. With the voucher it is extremely price worthy. If you had to pay the full price without the "75% discount", would be too expensive. Toilets were clean, for smokers outside an ashtray is missing. And by the way you can view the Prime Tower and other recent constructions from the place and there is a bus-stop just across the street.
