Restaurant Hintergeissboden - Zürich

Liegt an einem schönen Ort, aber die Preise sind ziemlich teuer ...

Good location. Food is okay. Staff was very unhelpful (slow, forgetting orders, poor communication with customers).

The food wasn't really good. My sauce still had a delicious fly in it, regards to hygiene! Far too little service. I'm not coming back!

We were on the Zugerberg today (ascent in moderate, rather cool weather. After a nice walk, we were happy when we saw the sign Restaurant open today (according to the website, warm food served until 5 p.m. . However, when we arrived there at 2:30 p.m., we were told that no more food orders were being accepted, that the kitchen was overwhelmed and that the food was running out anyway. I 'm sorry, what?! At first we thought it was a bad joke, but we were actually only able to order drinks. Something like that shouldn 't happen! Imagine if the weather had been nice?! Dinner already out at 11 a.m. or what? The waitress did everything right and can 't do anything about it... But on a Sunday/public holiday you have to expect more visitors than on a normal Thursday and plan accordingly. Such an imposition. After a hot chocolate to warm up, we were completely disappointed and left with growling stomachs.

After waiting half an hour, I asked at the buffet whether self-service was available...the snippy answer: You can see what's going on here. Someone is coming soon. After another 15 minutes we left again. We couldn't even order anything to drink...
