Bidrage med feedbackWhat should I say? what, fantastic sitting area in the open. that is so beautiful. eating was amazing and tasty, the staff was so friendly and helpful. everything was so beautiful and clean. the atmosphere is relaxing and the view is beautiful. they even have to sit in the inside, which was also beautiful. but in the open, this is the best.
We have been twice in the Tobelhof this week, once with my brother and wife for dinner ! Exellent food Wienerschnitzel, lam provençal and very nice lady for service. Yesterday we went again for lunch and we were not so happy the server Berek...did not know what he was talking about, we had a spicy tatar which we didnt care about and my friend had Scampi with a sort of Bernaise sauce and the sauce was like an omelette. We complained but nothing happend !
Visited the place for lunch at a sunny day and since I can't stay in direkt sun for ean extended time, I choose a table for two with scenic view and shadow. After making my order and got my beversge, I went to the restroom....When I returned, my table was moved and after sitting there again, the waiter asked politely whether I could move to another table since a larger group came and they wanted to sit there. Not that there was still plenty of places elsewhere but apparently it was too much effort to move those tabled. Anyway, while I have changed tables before occasionally to accomodate, I did not wsnt to this time. Because of the shadowy place and view. So I declined to move. A second later, another person came to my table and insisted on me moving to an other table. She showed me a table with less shadow and no view. I declined but since she insisted, I paid my beverage and left the place. I expect an appropriate customer management for an expensive place like this and given that I have changed tables sometimes they also must be able to mamage a decline in particular when the customer was aready sitting there and has ordered already. This is poor cutomer service and certainly the last time visiting this expensive place.
Beautiful location with fantastic garden, boring menu with very little vegetarian food, fresh and delicious foods. so far, ok. but the personal looks like they are somewhere else on the world, but at this beautiful place that serves us, the guests, the food and it. unfortunately makes it a bad experience.
Visited this restaurant, as it was near our hotel and so glad we did! a beautiful place (conveniently near a bus stop) with magnificent view. a very cozy and relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant and the staff were very friendly (and spoke excellent English)....The service was fast, although the restaurant was pretty busy. English menus available when you need it. the food was impeccable. the starters were beautifully presented art works and amazing aromen. main dishes were just as delicious and fill (the little bite options are surprisingly great desserts unusual, but traditional and interesting. very fair prices for the quality of food. we had 3 courses and two alcoholic drinks for less than £140, which were much cheaper than other places in the Swiss. beautiful touch at the end of our meal, when the waiter topelhof broke up postcodes so that we could write to our loved ones after home. buchung recommended.
