Because... growing up up there, it was like our second home back then, as it still is (when in the area , good middle class, very good Swiss cuisine, hearty portions, very friendly and courteous service, and has been for decades , despite changing landlords after decades (but staying in the family is almost the same.. Despite everything, a very large selection, across the board. Simply really 1a,...as well as the fact that the workers and craftsmen ALSO feel completely comfortable... No Schicki-Micki

The service was very friendly. The lady who took the reservation, a little less, she couldn't give exact information about the menu. The food is down-to-earth, home-style cooking. The atmosphere is actually reminiscent of that of a restaurant where the shooting club or gymnastics club meets. A place also for ordinary people.

I have lived in Switzerland for 30 years and have always wanted to eat in this restaurant, it never worked out. Today I had the pleasure of having lunch at Schützenruh! It was fantastic! A wonderful service (a blonde lady), we were treated very well! And very tasty food! Lots of choices! We will be back!

Good food (we had Leberli mit Rösti friendly staff, restaurant somewhat old, should be renovated.
