Wǔ Shí Mèng - 只見町

Today, we stopped by during our drive to Minami Town. The daily special was fried oysters. My wife had the tantanmen noodles and dumplings. The restaurant was crowded with locals.

I ate the set meal of dumplings and half tantan noodles. The set meal didn't come with miso soup, but everything was delicious. The dumplings had a crispy surface and a juicy, garlic-flavored filling that was very appetizing. The rice was also very tasty, making for a satisfying meal. The tantan noodles had a sesame aroma and a gentle spiciness in the soup that was delicious. Despite their appearance, they were not too spicy, so even those who dislike spicy food can enjoy them. The quality of the food for the price was amazing! I was very satisfied with the set meal and tantan noodles, they were incredibly delicious.

Until February 20th, 2022, this restaurant is only open for lunch. It is the only dining establishment in this area, located in a vacant house that has been converted into a restaurant. The back living room also serves as a dining space, so don't hesitate to ask for a table back there. The restaurant is run by two mothers who cater to a wide range of customers, from locals to those visiting for work. My favorite dish is the spicy sesame noodles! The set meals are also popular for their delicious rice. Please be patient as the service may take a little longer when it gets busy. Thank you for your understanding and kindness while waiting.
